RE: You SNOWBIRDS have it too good.

If not for the Snowbirds there would be no activities. Most of the work to put on activities is done by the snowbirds volunteering there time and then they raise money to help pay for it.

RE: Frustration with Forum Access

It can be frustrating at times though I have not been having problems lately. It can get bad when it is busy. Have not heard of any work on the site but it can cause problems also. This is the best place I have found so I keep coming back. Hope it gets better for you.

RE: Portable Ice Maker

We have had ours for a long time, I paid close to $200 when I bought and it was worth every cent. Have never had any smell out of ours. It makes a good size ice cube. I will never be without one.

RE: Hi Everybody!!

Gongrats and Welcome to you and you family. This site can be a great site when in need. Hope you have few needs and lots of fun. As far as hot water, If all you want to do is wash dishes it is just as easy to but a pan on the stove.

RE: Ice Maker

We have had ours for about four years and have had plenty of ice. I guess if you wanted to fill a cooler it would take a while but it will make ice as long as you empty the basket. Before we had ours we where buying about two bags of ice a day so it paid for itself some time ago

RE: Slide Topper Replacement, Job Done

I used a light rope and wound it around the end of the tube (I raped it 5 times)then took one of the ratchet strap's and hooked to the rope and the bottom edge of slide. Then used the ratchet to pull the rope till the awning was all unwound then after taking out the small screw (the big slide had one on each end) and slide out the awning. I left the ratchet as it was and went and had the awning made. Replacing them was not bad at all. I feed them in a foot or so at a time. First the top and then the end on the roller. I had to move the ladder a few times but it was not a bad job.Hope this helps.

Slide Topper Replacement, Job Done

I just replaced my two slide out awnings. It was not to bad a job and I did it all myself, So one person can do it if it need to be done. I took mine to a place that makes Canvas for boats and that made them for me. It cost $285 to have the two of them made. If you are in the MI west of Flint the place is J & K Canvas Products on Corrunna Rd just west of Morrish. I have had them do canvas work before and the do good work and no I do not benefit from them in any way.
